Yo Gotti unleashes another new track that will be featured on his "Live From the Kitchen" album due out next Tuesday.
Needless to say, Freddie Gibbs definitely had a breakthrough year. Although he broke out on the scene a few years ago when he was named a XXL Freshman, this year was a successful one. Not only did he smash his "Cold Day in Hell" project, but his talents got him noticed by Jeezy, which led to him signing to CTE. He's been under everyone's radar since then and has pulled off power collabs with artists such as Freeway, Dom Kennedy, Alley Boy and more. I believe 2012 will be even better for him and I see mainstream achievements in his near future. Below is his latest video featuring Dom Kennedy and Polyester.
After dropped the bomb yesterday that he was never signed to MMG, he releases a new track via XXL that will be featured on his forthcoming mixtape, "The Epidemic".
Jersey emcee A.P. isn't showing signs of slowing down anytime soon. He delivers another new track from his forthcoming mixtape.
Hate if you want, but Charlotte, NC rapper Bettie Grind hands down had one of the absolute best videos this year on the indie scene. Nucca spend major bread on this video, plus he scored a Ciroc sponsorship. After I saw the video I actually asked him if he joined the Illuminati...Congrats to him and salute for having a REAL budget.
This nucca 2 Chainz is every damn where. Everytime I look up its either a new song, video or feature from him. I absolutely respect the grind. Here's the official video for the remix to his summer hit, "Spend It".
Travis Porter gives us the official video for the remix to their single, "You Don't Know Bout It".
New video from Houston vet, Trae the Truth produced by Track Bangas.
Trouble came out bussin' this year (pun intended). Right after his prison release last December, Duct Tape's Trouble released his debut mixtape, "December 17th" which immediately caught the attention of fans and tastemakers and quickly positioned him in the industry as the next to blow. He began dropping video after video from the tape and each visual has over 200,000 views to date. Not stopping there, he released another mixtape a few months ago called "Greenlight" which gave the rising rap star more shine and notariety. His grind has been acknowledged by every major music outlet, including XXL, MTV and BET, and has also captured the attention of some of hip hop's heavy hitters, including Jeezy and T.I. Even with his tough exterior and raw street lyrics, Trouble had a breakthrough year and shows no signs of slowing down. Below is one of my favorite videos, "Bussin" (remix) featuring Yo Gotti, Waka Flocka, and Trae the Truth.
