The Arrival Blog Entry #23: Final Updates + New Release Date

June 21, 2010

OK I know you all are wondering what the hell is going on; I know I’ve been a little quiet the last few weeks.  I’ve been working out the kinks and finalizing all of the last minute details for this project.  We all hit snags and run into bumps in the road when working on any project, I’m no exception.  But when you working on something that’s beneficial and could progress the music community the devil can’t keep you down! We gotta new release date, new sponsors, and a renewed promotion campaign ready.

Over the weekend, after a few things fell through, I knew we had to push the release date back.  I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to projects with my name on it.  If it’s not 100%, it’s not coming out.  So now the new release date for the mixtape is July 6th.  That’s the digital release, the physical release will be July 14th, but we will have exclusive advance copies available at the South Carolina Music Awards.  As far as the DVD, we’ve finished up the taping schedule and will begin filming on the 25th of this month.  We will also be out at the SC Music Awards filming.  In about a week, I’ll list a few of the public locations we’ll be filming at, in case any of you wanna make an appearance.

Starting today, look forward to daily updates upon the release of the mixtape.  Mixtape cover, promotional video, track listing, artists featured, sponsored promotions, and details of the release party are just a few of the things that I’ll be revealing in the next two weeks. In the mean time, download the first Arrival mixtape HERE!

The Arrival Blog Entry #21:  Official Release Date + Vol. 1 Re-Release

April 27, 2010

I know you all have been wondering when The Arrival Vol 2 is going to drop.  Sorry I’ve kept you hanging but we had to get all of the paperwork completed before we continued.  So now that everything is set and the distribution deal is official, I can finally announce that the official release date for The Arrival Vol 2 (Carolina Edition) will be June 22nd!  I won’t release the tracklisting just yet, but I can say featured artists will include: Boss G, Snook Da Rokk Star, Transfers, Continental GT, P Wonda, Small World, and King Carter, just to name a few.  There will also be a surprise guest appearance featured as a bonus track on the tape so stay tuned for that…

In the mean time, I am re-releasing Vol 1 (yes I’m re-releasing it, say sumthin) and it will be mixed by DJ Fat Dre, who is hosting Vol 2.  I’m doing this just to prepare the people for Vol 2.  It’s always good to keep the brand out there while working on the next project.  I always tell artists, visibility is key.  If you’re working on an album or mixtape, make sure you still have music circulating to stay visible to the audience and your fans.  The re-release of Vol 1 will be available May 5th.

Shouts to Faazon for the Arrival logo!!

The Arrival Blog Entry #20: Media + Sponsorship Packages

April 12, 2010

Now that all of the tracks have been selected, its time to start moving on the campaign!  Over the weekend I compiled the official sponsor and media packages to be delivered this week.  These are essential to the success of this project.  Really, I mold my campaign around the sponsors.  Certain entities will determine what all can be done.  I already have several sponsors locked in, but getting more will allow more to be done with the mixtape and DVD.

This is also a good opportunity for advertising.  If you’d like details about the project and where it will be promoted and placed, please contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  All labels, companies, producers, promoters, clothing lines, etc. are welcome.

Media sponsors are important because they help spread the word.  They will provide important details regarding the project, all while exposing it to their audience.  It’s always important to remember that every individual website, radio station, outlet, etc. has their own audience.  While they might be in the same state, region, etc. they will still reach people that the other might not.  Gotta make sure its wide spread across the board.  I want as many ears and eyes to connect to my product.

I’m sure I don’t need to explain why financial sponsors are important…OK, moving on.

Again, I am sending out the media and sponsor packages all this week.  If you are a website, radio station, publication, etc. and are interesting in being an official media sponsor for the this project, please email Cara Hill at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The Arrival Blog Entry #19:  Final Tracks Selected!

April 7, 2010

So finally, after almost a month all of the tracks are selected!  I know it seems like that took way too long, but as I stated earlier in my blogs, I had to be extra selective this time around.  All of the artists selected are hard working artists that possess a lot of talent.  All of the music sounds good; every track is radio and/or club material.  For the next several weeks, I’m gonna be bustin’ my ass daily to prepare for the world to hear this.  After it drops next month, my hope is that things change for the Carolinas.

Tomorrow at noon, I’ll drop another mixtape leak as I promised I would.  In the next few days, the artists will receive all of the info detailing the mixtape and DVD project.  Time to get this show on the road.  I’m really looking forward to the responses.  I believe with all that is being done, that several of them will have progressed a step forward in their careers.  I know this all sounds a bit ambitious, but anyone that knows me knows that I dream big and go hard.  Being apart of the norm is not for me, never has been.  Time to show and prove!

Be looking out for us in the area!  We will begin filming for the DVD in two weeks!
