Detroit emcee Adam Reverie turned the big 3-0 yesterday, and in honor of that he recorded a gem appropriately titled “February 17th”. The provocative track starts off with a conversation between him and his father, who is currently incarcerated. That was powerful. Who else is doing that? Then he goes on to flow effortlessly behind gorgeous production from Dre-1 about not finishing college, wanting the best for his son Noah, and even threw in a Steph Curry reference that was brilliant. He goes on to talk about love as well. Adam is a catch.
