Quit Dating

When you’ve been through a break-up, the worst thing you can do is go searching for a rebound. It may make you feel better temporarily but most rebounds are doomed for failure. Now is the best time to work on yourself and rediscover what you love about life.

Don’t Take Words to Heart

It’s easier said than done but it’s crucial that you don’t take words to heart in the heat of a break-up. If your ex-partner said hurtful things to you as you were breaking up, the best thing you can do is forget them.

Replaying those words in your mind can lead to you feeling bad about yourself. Put those words where they belong; in the trash.

It can help to remember who you are and what your values are. Knowing your worth and what’s important to you will help you to remember why it’s so important that you start on this new path and what you deserve from a loving relationship. Write down your morals and values when it comes to relationships on paper and stick to them.
