From Wendy:

I won’t mention the Lupe Fiasco connection I got when I first saw the name of this post…and Lupe dropped today. I really like how different this beat is!! If that’s a sample in the beginning from Akira, it needs to be cleared or removed. But this is what excites the industry–a song that takes a risk and has a little different beat (and for every A&R who says they want something different, there’s another A&R who wants the “next 2Chainz,” or the ” next JCole.”). Damned if you do….and damned if you don’t. But that’s the music biz!
