Are You Really Taking Care Of Yourself?
Even though you might not be doing anything especially bad for your health, you might not be doing everything you can to make yourself feel good. You have to ask yourself if you’re really taking care of yourself. Even if you think you are, what is the truth? It’s important to look at this with an open mind and try to figure out if you’re really healthy and if you’re doing everything you can to stay that way. Read on to find out some of the ways you can tell you’re not taking care of yourself as well as you should. Once you know what they are, you can make changes that will make you much healthier.
Your Skin Is Suffering
There is an easy way to tell if you aren’t taking care of yourself: your skin will show it. If it looks pale, sallow, dull, or if you have acne, for example, it’s not healthy. This could mean that you have a generally unhealthy lifestyle or that you’re not taking care of yourself properly. Your skin is a good indicator of how well you are doing, so if it doesn’t look good, you probably aren’t well. Things you can do to rectify the issue include:
· Drinking plenty of water
· Not eating too much (or any) junk food
· Exfoliating, moisturizing, and cleaning your skin
· Taking off all makeup every day
· Doing more exercise
If you start doing these things, your skin will start to look much better, and you’ll feel better, too.
You’re Always Sick
Are you the type of person who always gets every bug or virus that goes around? Will you feel sick the next day if you hang out with someone who has a slight cold? In other words, are you sick with something all the time? You might be so used to this that it doesn’t bother you anymore, and you just think of it as another illness. But it could also mean something else.
Most of the time, at least, the immune system should be strong enough to fight off many of these small illnesses. If yours is letting you get sick, it’s not doing its job, which could mean you’re not taking care of yourself the right way. For example, you can boost your immune system with a healthy diet, exercise, and maybe some vitamin supplements.
You’re Constantly Tired
You might be surprised to hear this, but you’re not supposed to feel tired all the time. Even though it might take you a while to wake up in the morning and you might feel tired by evening, you should be awake and ready to go during the day. If you are, you will be more productive, happier, and healthier.
You’re not taking care of yourself if you’re always tired. It could be as simple as not getting enough sleep, in which case you’ll need to go to bed earlier. But if you can’t sleep at all and don’t get enough sleep, you have insomnia. This is a sign of a deeper problem, like anemia or depression, and you will need professional help. Talk to a TMJ doctor. They will be able to figure out why you can’t sleep and give you tips on how to make things better.
