BACHI – SHLEEEP! (@Bachi_Kage)

“SHLEEEP!” is an album concocted by BACHI to wake the listeners up to the diversity of his music. Although new to the game, he knows he’s going to do some serious damage with his debut by showing folks his versatility and unique personality of Razor Scooters, cold pizza and Naruto

Born in Miami as Michael Gabriel Poole on Aug. 26, 1997, BACHI is a grassroots rapper based in Tallahassee, Fla. Naturally, growing up in a musically talented family, his knack for the musical arts and itch to rap was onset at the early age of 8. After relocating to Atlanta for a brief stint at age 15, he was inspired by ATL’s rap scene and began toying with the idea of becoming an artist himself.

After dropping a few fun singles, he began to spark a local buzz in Tallahassee. At age 18, he finally decided to take steps toward mastering his craft and learning to rap after freestyling and battling throughout his teenage years.

BACHI’s clever rhymes are both rebellious and real. Through his lyrics he illustrates everything from his struggle through college and failed attempts at relationships to riding Razor scooters and playing Naruto with his friends. The artist keeps it positive with his colorful- and sometimes grimy–instrumentals with a refreshingly original set of flows that’ll burn the hair off your grandpa’s back.

He draws inspiration from both his daily life and his favorites artists, including Mos Def, Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Lil’ B, Danny Brown, Trapo, Partynextdoor and Dom Kennedy. The Miami native takes pride in his offbeat musical diversity and hopes that through his music people will come to understand that you can be cool by NOT being cool.
