Danville, Illinois, native, Jaraiyia Morris, better known by her stage name, Jaraiyia Alize´, is on her way to becoming the music industry’s next most promising songstress. At a very early age, Jaraiyia took up singing, which quickly turned from just a hobby into a passion. Music and singing is what protected Jaraiyia’s heart and peace of mind through the many hardships growing up and her first heartbreak. Never the one to let the negative energy affect her, and always finding a way to triumph through her trials, Jaraiyia has an intense and relatable story to tell and what better way for her to express those emotions through singing and making music. With inspirational icons to admire such as, Beyonce’, Rihanna, Anita Baker, Miley Cyrus, and Taylor Swift; it’s with versatility and personal experiences that have molded Jaraiyia into yet another iconic artist in the making. First of all please introduce yourself to our readers?

Hello Pearlz! My name is Jaraiyia Alize´. I am a college graduate, with a degree in psychology and a certificate in women’s studies. I am the mother of a two and a half year old beautiful baby girl! I absolutely love children, and a fun fact is I love spongebob.

Which famous musicians do you admire?

My two favorite musicians are Alicia Keys, and Miles Davis. 

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

The music that I create can be relatable to all people. Some songs are fun and flirty, others are about real life.

We really loved your Pearlz Short Film (Official Trailer). It seems you have deep love for L.A.?

When I think of LA, I genuinely smile. Since the age of about 7 I have dreamed of traveling to LA. LA was more than I ever imagined.

The Video is perfectly following the lyrics. You must be getting appreciation from Music critics?

I have yet to receive any criticism, but I am eager to see the reactions of others.

Have you performed somewhere? What are your favourite venues?

Yes! I have performed in a variety of settings; birthday parties, talent shows, and college events. My favorite venues are venues where I can be my complete self.

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your entertainment career?

I would be the living dead. Non-existent.

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

The internet has opened doors and brought forth many opportunities to the music business.
