Going through life with low energy levels is not a lot of fun. Every day seems like an exhausting challenge, and the fact that you have to try so hard wears you out even more.

But what if there was a way to raise your energy levels in under 24 hours so that, by tomorrow morning, you feel great and ready to take on the challenges of the world? Wouldn’t that be great?

In this post, we take a look at some of the things that you can do to raise your energy levels and get your mojo back. Check them out below.

Take A Cold Shower

Sometimes we can get into a funk that’s hard to get out of. We feel slow, depressed and agitated.

You can try to address this with things like meditation and exercise. However, if you really want to shock yourself into a new way of being, then nothing compares to cold showers. They’re like a big jolt you need in the morning to get your brain in gear and remove yourself from any negative feelings that you might have.

Cut Out The Sugar

Don’t eat sugar or refined flours. It’s the ultimate way to lower your energy levels and make you feel tired all the time. Sure, you have a brief sugar high, but it soon wanes, leaving you feeling like you’ve crashed.

Replace sugar with whole grains, like brown rice, lentils and quinoa. Find interesting recipes that satisfy your taste buds.

Get More Folate

Folate is an essential nutrient found in whole plant foods. Unfortunately, because we don’t eat enough greens and beans collectively, we don’t get enough of this particularly phytochemical.

According to DHS, you can get this in the form of Biotics supplements or the food you eat. If you’re busy, it may be better to get the pill form so that you never go a day without it.

Increase Your Magnesium Levels

If your levels of magnesium are low, you’ll tend to feel sluggish and tired. You may even begin to experience pain in various parts of your body. Not good.

Increasing magnesium levels, though, is surprisingly easy. You can either take a supplement or you can get it from eating more whole plant foods, like fruits and vegetables. Magnesium is particularly high in some whole grains and beans. You could also look into IV infusion services which can boost a wide range of vitamins in your body for greater wellbeing.

Change Your Thinking

Another tactic you might want to try is changing your thinking. Instead of going into problems thinking “this is stressful,” see them instead as adventures.

For instance, if something difficult comes up at work, don’t immediately tell yourself that you’re having a bad day. Instead, see the issues in the wider context of what you’re trying to achieve. If a client complains, it doesn’t matter, because the real goal of your work is financial freedom or professional development.

Take A Walk

Lastly, if your energy levels still feel low, you can take a quick walk around the block. You’ll often find that this invigorates your mind and body, particularly during the period after lunch when you are at your most sleepy.
