Beat Stress and Anxiety by Doing a Good Job

Your brain releases serotonin in response to an accomplishment at work or doing something you enjoy. Serotonin makes you happy and energized. This is why you feel happy when you eat your favorite food or spend time with the people you love. And it can be explained scientifically. Serotonin counteracts cortisol’s destructive effects. Stress is caused by the hormone cortisol, which is released when the flight or fight response is triggered. Excess cortisol can cause depression and anxiety. It is essential to balance the two in order to stay mentally healthy.

Make Time for Your Passions

When you work as hard as you do, you deserve a little playtime. What constitutes play varies from person to person.
